Summer 2005 - More Ebay madness - a full set of neons for 50 quid. I couldn't resist it. One bolts behind the front valance....
....one under each sill....
....and one at the rear. I could only fit it in diagonally because of the exhaust. A bit of old exhaust pipe was made into a heatshield, because one end is very near the exhaust.
The transformer fits neatly next to the fuse box....
....and I switch the neons on with an existing switch under the dash.
I finally got a digital camera that would take night shots. Here are the results. As you can see I've added a neon toothed grille and neons in the scuttle vents.
