Autumn 2005 - I needed a new grille to go with the new lights. So I decided to make a toothed grille using bumper over-riders.

After some measuring and research I decided that Morris Minor over-riders were the best compromise for cost, availability and size, so I ordered 7 plastic ones from Charles Ware. The first task was to make up a mounting bar out of an old push chair. There's lots of holes because it took me two goes to get the spacing right.

During all the measuring I changed my mind and decided I needed 8 over-riders. Fortunately my mate Mark had one in his garage, but unfortunately it was all scratched. So I decided to use the old lead sled trick of having one gold tooth in the grille. The 8th over-rider was painted gold with a couple of coats of clear to give it some shine.

Just to remind you what the old grille looked like.....

.... and here's one I made earlier.

Grrrrrr!
